St. Augustine, Fl  Community Food Pantry to Re-Open following an unexpected closure

The POB Restoration Center would like to Re-open the Pantry doors as early as February 1, 2020, but we need community support – for those who know us best and have followed our journey up to this pivotal moment, we especially invite your participation with us as we work to feed the needy in our community.

We are urgently in need of $4,286 to open the Pantry by February 1st.

This includes:

  • $2,800 first & last month rent

  • $530 utilities (deposit for water/trash)

  • $846 (deposit for electric)

  • $110 for the first pest control treatment

Last November, after announcing intentions to close its Food Pantry, the Christian Services Center abruptly closed its doors just before the Christmas holidays, leaving those in the community without access to this vital service.

For nearly 5  years, we have prayed for a building from which to minister and God has opened the door for the POB Restoration Center to reopen this important community service.

Located at 78 Masters Rd in North St. Augustine.
The Food Pantry was serving some 350 family households – an estimated 1,000 people per month at the time of its closing – many of which were elderly, disabled, and children.

We look to re-open the Food Pantry will your help.
The Landlord has given us until FEBRUARY 1st 2020
to come up with $4286
to turn the keys over to us.  $4286 is all that stands between us and One Thousand Hungry Mouths per month.

Please help us with your Donations!

Pools Of Bethesda Restoration Center has NO planned salaried Staff Members at this time. All work on behalf of the Food Pantry and Non-Profit are done FREE of Charge.

5 years of effort by 4 lonely volunteers – each driven by a faith-filled vision for a segment of our society that is often forgotten – the POB Restoration Center ministry is facing a breakthrough and The Food Pantry is a Community need milestone.

Again, Please help us Re-open The Food Pantry Door by donating to the Food Pantry Campaign.

Other ongoing (food pantry) monthly costs will include:

  • Up to $2,000/annual insurance

  • $35/month pest control

  • $60.53/month water & trash

  • $300/month electric

We are in dire need of ongoing support from friends in our St Johns County community.l

We believe that the Food Pantry will serve as a contact point to reach our target group. The Pantry will allow us to work with the court system to offer community service hours to those mandated by the court.

As we get the Food Pantry off the ground, we’ll expand the ministry to include instruction in practical life skills, job training and placement, and individual, group and family counseling by both State-licensed and Christian mental health counselors.
